    I found this lakeside scene so striking. The view took my eye on a walk with friends around Roundhay Park Lake. Deep in conversation, as always, I was distracted by this beautiful orange against the water. It must be annoying for people I’m with, but these things jump out at me when I’m out and about, and I just have to record it. When  it comes to getting the paint on the canvas, I often enhance the colours to convey how they strike me – I want to present them in a way that gets your attention in a way they get mine.
