This painting depicts city life from the ground upwards, from a delicate ecosystem provided by a humble selection of plants and flowers at the back of a carpark, looking up into the distance towards Manchester’s iconic, towering Hilton, the modern human habitat. The painting’s perspective asks questions about how we might regard these coexisting urban dwellings.
