    60”x 36” (150cm x 90cm) acrylic on deep edge canvas.This large painting was inspired by a glorious pond at Bodnant Gardens, North Wales. I genuinely could not get over the overflowing beauty on show, contained in such a small space in a hidden spot in the grounds. It was like discovering a new world – every section of the water and the plants reflected in it, was truly stunning to me. Zooming in on small segments of the water, and seeing what colour and shape lay bursting from within it – the leaves, the water, the tangled lilies, I wanted to magnify this on a grand scale. It only adds to my conviction that there is so much more to find and enjoy when we choose to look closely in front of us.
