Going home

This painting is of the M62 Manchester bound from a journey back from my parents' in Leeds. The sunset was beautiful and made such a familiar journey look almost foreign. Though I never loved this motorway commute, I long for it these days...

'Going home' refers to a few things - returning to my roots in Leeds, this beautiful view on the route back, and returning home to family life in Stockport.

In these exceptional Covid times, 'going home' takes on a whole new set of meanings for us...
