Breakthrough

This is a print of an acrylic painting. It depicts a magical moment for me. The sunlight pouring through those beautiful poplars on a frosty morning walk, casting bold, dynamic shadows towards where I was standing taking a photo. 

With ‘Breakthrough’ I tried to capture the powerful winter sun breaking through the trees, but the title also refers to the painting process. I started the painting with brushes but half way through, realised that it needed palette knives and it changed the feel of the whole piece – a ‘breakthrough’ moment…

Prints are sourced on request and are usually dispatched within 5 working days of the order. All prices include UK shipping costs. (For delivery to other destinations, additional cost will apply). Prints up to A4 in size are sent flat packed and prints larger than A4 are sent rolled in a tube. All prints are protected with acid free sheets.
