'Always Remember' was a joy to paint. After working on a series of more abstract water paintings, this vibrant landscape, was a fresh change. My fascination with reflections and movement of water plays a part here. The combination of this, with the warm glow of sun through the trees on an unusually hot autumn day, made me stop and breathe it in. My children were playing at this spot by the water as we looked on. A moment I hope to 'always remember'. The location was The Carrs, Wilmslow, but I love that it could be anywhere.
